Dr. Gretchen Brewer

Dr. Gretchen Brewer, originally from the Pittsburgh area, graduated with honors from Washington & Jefferson College in 1995. She received a B.S. and Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry and graduated in 1999. After completing school, she started her career in the Washington, D.C. area but returned to Philadelphia where she has been practicing for the last 26 years.

Dr. Brewer is therapeutically trained and is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. She fits specialty contact lenses such as rigid gas permeables, multifocals and lenses for high astigmatism. In addition, she is also MiSight Certified for pediatric myopia control.

Dr. Brewer works with patients of all ages including children. She is also currently a member of the PCOS, AOA, POA, and Alldocs organizations. Dr. Brewer has been an active participant in the OneSight program, a charitable organization that provides eye exams and glasses to those in need and has participated in clinics in inner city Philadelphia and Pittsburgh as well as Honduras, Costa Rica, and Chile.

​​​​​​​Dr. Brewer enjoys pickleball and is a certified water aerobics instructor. She currently resides in North Wales, Pa. with her husband and children.
